BiographyHistory

Aboriginal folklorist, lecturer, writer, musician and singer of mixed Aboriginal and European descent, Povah has also contributed text and captions to the Australian Geographic poster 'Venomous Snakes of Australia' (1998), as well as written natural history articles and book reviews for that journal. He has edited The Australasian Pigeon Guide (2002), and been publisher of Australasian Pigeon Fanciers Gazette. An audio tape, 'Interview with Frank Povah, Aboriginal Folklorist' (1990), is held at the National Library of Australia.
