Kathleen Denigan has pursued her interest in the culture and history of Aboriginal people for many years. Her work has also included performing arts, visual arts, and multimedia. She has worked with Elders, youth, and children to retell the history of communities.

Denigan has been based in Cairns, Far North Queensland, and has worked with the communities of Hope Vale, Wujal Wujal, Cooktown, Yarrabah, Cairns, and Coen.
