BiographyHistory

From a young age Dinny Tumbler began mustering. When Dinny was a young man he had to have a citizenship card to receive permission to obtain alcohol. Dinny assisted in tracking down lost people, mustering and horse breaking. Dinny estimates that he would have broken in between two and three thousand horses during his working life. Similar to many other Aboriginal workers on stations, Dinny received no money for his labour despite being assured that he would. After many years of working throughout the North-West, Dinny moved back to Carnarvon to relax.
