Notes

  • Steampunk note: Featured in an anthology of steampunk romance fiction. The protagonist is Jack Doolan, of the ballad 'The Wild Colonial Boy'. In this iteration, Jack has a clockwork arm (the result of losing his in an explosion), created and serviced by his estranged wife, Kate. The Sydney Town of the book is one where the rich sail in dirigibles, never needing to set their feet on the ground.
