'It’s time to fight back…
'While heading to the nearby town of Laureston, Tom Harker is unexpectedly ambushed by an unknown sniper.
'Harker has made some enemies over the years but he doesn’t recognise the young man taking kill shots at him.
'Lucky for him, the shooter accidently slips and kills himself on the valley below.
'Taking the body to Laureston, it turns out the young man was Zeke Viall – the youngest son of Walter Viall, the local cattle baron who owns half the town.
'Everyone knows he acquired the land through questionable means but with no proof and with Judge Morton on his payroll, Sheriff Silas Rukatch can’t touch him.
'And as news travels fast about Zeke, Harker finds himself face to face with the man himself – as well as his two living sons, Rube and Mikey.
'But Harker didn’t come to town to start trouble with the Vialls – he heard his old army buddy, Billy Boden and his wife settled out near Laureston.
'As it turns out, Billy is the last ranch left from the original settlers. Walter Viall has done everything he can to ruin Billy’s business and ranch.
'And when Viall’s men try and beat him into signing his property over, Harker is there to save him.
'What’s more, seeing his friend almost beaten to a pulp, Harker is more than ready to fight back against Walter Viall and his men.
