A letter to the Theatre Magazine from Charlie Vaude, then playing a season in New Zealand for Fullers' Theatres Ltd (q.v.) on lease from Harry Rickards Tivoli Theatres Ltd (q.v.). vaude talks about the problem of audiences knowing some of his material because it had been published in the magazine previously. He also provides some annecdotes, including one that involved the use of slang during a game of cards.
