Although described in advertising as a burlesque, this Orange Dandies production was staged in the revusical (one-act musical comedy) style.

A similarly titled revusical, The Mummies, was produced by John N. McCallum at the Cremorne Theatre ca. 1919-1921, with a cast including Elton Black and Lou Vernon. It is unclear if the two works are related. An incomplete manuscript for The Mummies is held in the John N. McCallum/Cremorne Theatre section of the Nat Phillips Collection.
