Mentioned in the poem are : Joe Wangenheim (organiser/cook/boatman), Peter Smith, Durack, Jockey Hewett, Malone (American), Bill Shaw (American), Sid Athey, Wild Coveny, Mark Higgins, Stan Reynolds, Dick Richards ('from the Tivoli'), Vince Courtney and Ike Beck.
