Poor but honest Dennis McCarthy decides to seek justice with his fists - but finds Sir Hugh a worthy opponent. All is settled happily and both lovers marry their ladies. Slight. (PB)

Orphaned in England, after travelling on the continent she came to Victoria to join her uncle and his family. She discovers a long lost male cousin, Dick, is engaged to her other cousin (her uncle's daughter) but wants his identity kept secret ... Lover's misunderstandings follow as prying gossips cause trouble until all is pleasantly resolved. Light; patchy in parts. (PB)
