The Muddle-Headed Wombat was originally created by Ruth Park around 1940 for the Australian Broadcasting Commission Radio programme, 'The Argonauts'. An audio release with the original cast of John Ewart, Barbara Frawley, Earle Cross and Nigel Lovell was released in 2005 by ABC Audio.
