BiographyHistory

Considered one of the leading English pantomime librettists of the early 1900s, J. Hickory Wood began became Arthur Collins' regular writer at Drury Lane in 1900. Although he died thirteen years later his pantomimes were still being produced well in to the 1950s. They were also popular in Australia for many years, although often adapted for local audiences with topicalities and localisations etc.
