Con artist Harry Reynolds is released from prison armed with his partner's research for a new scam. Harry heads for the dying Australian seaside town of Beachport and starts conning the locals into investing in the recovery an old ship and the building of a theme park. His plans go awry, however, when he begins to fall for Julie, a single mum and the owner of the local hotel.
