'Peter Unwin George Wall, otherwise known as Pugwall, had a big dream — to be in a successful rock band. With the help of his mates Bazza, Orfo, Stringbean and Jenny, he created The Orange Organics. Now it's Summer and Pugwall has his own goals to achieve. He makes a list with his best friend Orfo and together they set about achieving them: making money, driving the school wardens wild, getting a suntan and working towards the release of a record with the band.'

Based on a novel by Norman Lindsay, Saturdee is a fictionalised account of Lindsay's childhood, set in the equally fictional Victorian town of Redheap. According to Moran, in his Guide to Australian TV Series, Lindsay

invented the central character, twelve-year-old Peter Gimble, as a projection of everything he would have liked to have been and he also included a friend of Peter's, Conkey Menders, as a representation of his real boyhood. Saturday was the day the boys and their friends lived for, a time of escape and adventures, after the chores of the week and the coming sabbatical gloom of Sundays.

Moran notes that since the writers and the director/producer had previously been involved with the ABC, it is surprising that this was not an ABC production. Instead, it was commissioned by the Seven Network. Shot over eleven weeks on location in Creswick, Victoria, the program cost $1.3 million to produce, but rated well with its target audience.

The life of Australian socialite Lucinda Brayford from ages eighteen to forty-nine, and her relationships with the men in her lives: old family friend Toby, philandering husband Hugo, lover Pat, and son Stephen. Each episode of the four-part series concentrates on the developing relationship with one of these four men. The series begins in Melbourne but takes place largely in England, following Lucinda's marriage.

Interviewed for the Australian Women's Weekly, producer Oscar Whitbread noted, 'Australia's society, especially Melbourne' aristocracy, has never really been properly depicted on television. [...] The ultra rich ARE different. Lucinda Brayford is an accurate portrayal of the 'beautiful people' as they existed 50 years ago, with all their elegance and impeccable manners' (Wed. 11 June 1980, p.138S).

'Thriller serial Catspaw was an exciting tale about a group of Australian mercenaries who are hired to recover a stolen helicopter. Tim Keppel, an RAF officer seconded to the RAAF had gone missing with the copter and Flight Lt Harry Sawtell led the team trying to find it.'

A short piece in TV Times (3-9 June 1978) noted:

'In air force jargon a catspaw is a "bunny" – someone left holding the bag. In ABC‘s new adventure series The Catspaw, it’s up to viewers to work out who should be carrying the blame. The seven-part series, featuring familiar names such as Ken James (pictured), Rowena Wallace, Peter Sumner, John Diedrich and John Stanton, revolves around the disappearance of an RAF officer Tim Keppel (Warwick Sims).'

'The program looks at whether Ned Kelly had a fair trial. The trial itself was taken from documents held at both the Victorian Police Dept, and at the High Court in Victoria. The Narrator within the program helps to clarify legal matters and there is more than a hint that he is on Kelly's side.'

In the year 4000AD, after suffering a terrible injury, Andra receives a brain transplant from a donor who died in 1987. With this new brain tissue, she realises for the first time how repressive her world's regime is, and leads a rebellion against the ruling powers.

Like many relatively short-lived programs from the 1970s, Andra is now extremely obscure: as with its predecessor Alpha Scorpio, rumours abound that the master tapes have been destroyed.

Andra is also subject to a number of misconceptions. Albert Moran, for example, notes that the program is a sequel to Alpha Scorpio. (Nor is Moran the only source for this statement.) Andra, which is based on a novel by British writer Louise Lawrence, is Alpha Scorpio's sequel only in that the ABC were seeking a science-fiction program aimed at young female viewers, just as Alpha Scorpio was aimed at young male viewers.

Spanning the 1890s to the 1950s, Power Without Glory is the story of a man determined to make something of his life. Raised in a Melbourne slum area, John West later gains wealth and power, his influence extending into his business, his political ambitions, and his family life. The events of his life unfold against a backdrop of major historical events, including World War One and the beginnings of the Australian Labour Party.

A sequel to A Taste for Blue Ribbons (1973), this children's period drama tells the story of the Byrne family (who run a horseriding school outside Melbourne) and the young daughter seeking to make the Olympic equestrian team.

Certain Women began as a short series in 1973 and continued on as a serial until 1977. At the centre of the narrative were six women from three generations of a Sydney family. Dolly has two daughters Freda and Jane. Jane has three daughters Marjorie, Helen, and Gillian.

In a short piece announcing the extension of the series after the broadcast of the first six episodes television critic Valda Marshall said the decision to make further episodes 'should also keep the women's libbers happy ... so far as I know, it's the first TV series made here specifically as a starring vehicle for women'.
